DIFS 1998:1. Data Inspection Board Regulation repealing certain Regulations relating to personal data files issued pursuant to the Data Protection Act (1973:289) adopted on 8 September 1998.
The Data Inspection Board provides, pursuant to section 14 of the Data Protection Ordinance (1982:480), that the following Regulations shall be repealed with effect from 24 October 1998:
1. Regulation (DIFS 1979:2) concerning certain payroll and staff registers (simplified application procedure);
2. Regulation (DIFS 1979:3) concerning certain customer and supplier lists etc. (simplified application procedure);
3. Regulation (DIFS 1980:3) concerning certain tenant files (simplified application procedure);
4. Regulation (DIFS 1981:1) concerning certain membership registers (simplified application procedure);
5. Regulation (DIFS 1982:2) concerning the obligation to inform individuals in accordance with section 10 of the Data Protection Act (1973:289; reprinted 1982:446);
6. Regulation (DIFS 1984:1) concerning insurance institutions’ obligation to delete data relating to non-life and personal insurance from personal data files pursuant to the Data Protection Act (1973:289);
7. Regulation (DIFS 1993:4) concerning application of the Data Protection Act (1973:289) following certain organizational changes in local authorities and regions;
8. Regulation (DIFS 1995:1) concerning the content of applications for permission pursuant to the Data Protection Act (1973:289) etc;
9. Regulation (DIFS 1995:3) concerning parish records in the activities of the Church of Sweden;
10. Regulation (DIFS 1995:4) concerning certain personal data files used in central and regional government research activities;
11. Regulation (DIFS 1995:5) concerning certain personal data files used in local government activities;
12. Regulation (DIFS 1995:6) concerning certain direct marketing lists;
13. Regulation (DIFS 1996:2) concerning certain personal data files in the insurance sector for which permission is required;
14. Regulation (DIFS 1996:3) concerning minute records kept by local authorities and regions;
15. Regulation (DIFS 1996:5) concerning client order files in the activities of lawyers;
16. Regulation (DIFS 1996:6) concerning registers of lay judges, special court members and jurors;
17. Regulation (DIFS 1996:7) concerning registers of interpreters kept by courts;
18. Regulation (DIFS 1997:1) concerning certain personal data files used in schools;
19. Regulation (DIFS 1997:5) concerning certain personal data files kept for statistical purposes; and
20. Regulation (DIFS 1997:7) concerning personal data files on websites.

The repealed Regulations shall, however, remain in force with regard to personal data files to which the provisions of the Data Protection Act (1973:289) are applicable under the entry into force and transitional provisions of the Personal Data Act (1998:204).
