The High Council of Ministers, under its decisión nº 1614 in the meeting of 30/6/1355 (21 September 1976), in consideration of petition nº 3132 dated 30/10/1354 (20 January 1976) of the Ministry of Justice regarding the Penal Code, santioned the following:

“The Penal Code, in two books, consisting of eight sections and five hundred and twenty three articles, which has been affixed with the seal of the Secretariat, is approved”

The decision of the Council of Ministers, which has received the approval of the Head of State of he Republic of Afghanistan, and has been registered under nº 1980 dated 31 Sunbula 1355 (21 September 1976), is therefore communicated to you so that action may be taken with respect to its publication in the Official Gazette.
